Dr.
Carlos Lasa, Jr. is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes in
Aesthetic/Cosmetic Surgery. After graduating with honors (Magna Cum Laude)
from the University of the Philippines, he took up Medicine at the University
of the Philippines College of Medicine and had his clinical internship at
the University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital Medical Center.
He was a scholar of the Philippine College of Surgeons and took his residency
training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of the Philippines-Philippine
General Hospital Medical Center from 1984 to 1988.
Dr. Lasa is
the only Filipino plastic surgeon ever accepted for advanced fellowship training
by the Foundation for Education in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, at the prestigious
Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. His mentor,
Dr. John Lewis, was the founder and first president of the American Society
for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He trained there from 1989 to 1990. He also
obtained advanced postgraduate fellowship training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio,
U.S.A. in 1990.
As a surgical associate at the Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia from 1991 to 1993, he worked with the leading plastic surgeons in the metropolitan tri-state areas of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
At present, Dr. Lasa's practice is located at his own outpatient surgery clinic at 91 Roces Avenue, corner Scout Tobias St., Quezon City, Philippines.
While Dr. Lasa's surgical skills, aesthetic judgement, sense of beauty, and ability to visualize the end result sets him apart from other surgeons, it is his personalized care and foremost concern for patient safety and comfort that characterizes his basic approach to cosmetic surgery.
